Our Story
Marquis are a crisp dessert typical of Yucatan, Mexico, invented by the ice cream Leopoldo Mena in the 1930s to sell in winter. This dessert consists of a dough similar to a rolled boat and fills with a mixture of sweet and salty flavors, usually ball cheese with milk candy, Nutella or jam. Its unique combination of textures and flavors has made them popular throughout Mexico and the world.
